| Tracy Constant, founder of Kids Love 2 Cook shares her passion with the world! The kitchen is the heart of our home. When asked what advice I have for parents, I spoke from the heart. Be patient, every step of cooking will be a long lasting memory for you and your child. I still to this day remember cooking with my mother and hearing her say (as I cracked the eggs and the shells fell in the batter) "honey get your hands in there and dig those shells out of that batter." I can still remember how fun it was to purposely get messy with my mom and not get in trouble for it. I want every child to have those same memories. A child without cooking is like a December without Christmas. We, as parents are responsible for helping create beautiful memories for our children to pass on to their children. IF you sit a child down and ask them if they could have anything odds are it would not be a phone, ipod, computer, etc. but if you dig really deep and ask the question in the you will find that your child just wants your time. Time doesn't mean swiping a credit card or spending that last dollar that you need for a loaf of bread until your next paycheck. In the end, time is a memory and time is all a child wants from you so show them how fun cooking can be and make their childhood memories count. I think all of us as can look back and recall a special memory of cooking at one point with one of our family members and though we may not remember the exact recipe we can always remember the fact that that special person gave us a memory that will never be forgotten. We have to keep the cycle going so lets get cooking! Just look at this face, this could be your child! |
